I can’t say that it’d be an easy thing to imagine my life without BAGLY. It’s become part of my life and I can’t let go of it. Through this organization I have learned a lot and it has changed my life on many different levels. I never would of ever thought of starting a GSA on my own at school if I hadn’t been a part of BAGLY. BAGLY does so much for me. Every year there are events to go to with friends or to go to and make friends, the office is always open when I need it, the staff is supportive, and every week there are meetings to talk about issues that are important to me. There is so much BAGLY offers and people don’t realize how important BAGLY is to our community. It’s a safe place to be on Wednesday nights or on a weekday if you’re just dropping by the office after school. Through BAGLY you learn important things like how to be politically active and the important issues people ignore but are important to the GLBTQ community.  Without BAGLY I don’t think it would have been as easy for me to come to terms with my sexual identity and to want to understand other peoples identity like trans or gender queer. Life just seems so much clearer because I understand so much more about people from meeting people of all races, gender, sexualities, etc…  I never would of made the friends I have now if it hadn’t been for BAGLY and I definitely wouldn’t be out and proud. BAGLY has definitely been life changing.
