BAGLY
Speakers Bureau
The BAGLY Speakers Bureau has been in existence
since BAGLY was founded in 1980. BAGLY youth members, ages 22 and
under, visit schools, community forums, colleges, and other organizations to
share our personal stories in
an effort to educate others
about our lives as young queer people and allies.
How do I invite
speakers?
Contact BAGLY today
if you are looking for queer youth speakers to
educate your audience about our lives.
How do I join the
speakers bureau?
To join our speakers bureau you must first be
trained. The trainings are typically one day long and very fun! At the
training you'll learn how to
formulate your story (Everyone has a story!)
and lots of public speaking tips and hints.
Please contact us or check
our program calendar to see
when the next speakers bureau training is
scheduled.
What happens on a
speaking engagement?
When you visit an organization to
speak you'll always be in groups of two or more. Sometimes you might be
asked to speak on a panel.
You'll share your short life experience related story
(about 5 minutes). Then you'll allow the audience to
ask you questions about your story/life
experiences. You can always opt not to
answer questions if you do not feel comfortable.
