Jesse Begenyi (they/them)
Jesse Begenyi, LICSW, is a white, non-binary identified Independently licensed social worker and therapist that works out of the BAGLY drop in space several days a week. Before going back to graduate school for social work, Jesse got their bachelors degree in documentary film and photography and is influenced by the way the stories people tell about themselves shape their lives. Jesse approaches therapeutic work at the intersection of identities, and works to help clients become the best version of themselves. Jesse brings a range of evidence based approaches to help clients navigate the social, emotional, and mental health concerns they may be experiencing alongside creative and trauma informed interventions. Jesse also loves to play roller derby, skate at the skate park, read, watch movies, and spend time with their cats and guinea pigs. One last fun fact is that sometimes Jesse brings the guinea pigs in so they can spend time with youth in the BAGLY space!
