Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) Testing
We receive funding to provide STI screening to LGBTQ+ individuals, with a focus on trans individuals as well as gay, bisexual, same gender loving, queer, and other men who have sex with men, with a priority on individuals of color. Due to the higher HIV incident rates among these communities, heterosexual cisgender (or non-trans) individuals are encouraged to be screened for HIV and STIs at alternative clinics.

The History of The Clinic @ BAGLY
For over 30 years BAGLY has pioneered comprehensive, low-threshold access to sexual health services including prevention, screening, referral services, risk counseling, and access to harm reduction materials for LGBTQ+ youth. BAGLY prioritizes programming that increases long-term success among populations of LGBTQ+ young people, who disproportionately experience barriers to health services and disease prevention.
On February 14, 2013, BAGLY, in partnership with Fenway Health, expanded our services by creating The Clinic @ BAGLY! Thanks to funding support from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and individual donors, we’ve been able to keep these services free-of-cost to LGBTQ+ youth. Our precedent setting partnership, bridging youth-led, community-based programs and clinical services, has revolutionize the landscape of health services available to LGBTQ youth and young adults in the greater Boston area.
At The Clinic @BAGLY, peer health educators work with a nurse to provide sexual health care to LGBTQ+ young people ages 29 and under.
