Join us to build your leadership skills, take action, and connect with other LGBTQ+ young people passionate about social justice!
The Queer Activist College (QuAC) is for LGBTQ+ youth ages 25 and under who want to make a difference in their communities and challenge systems of power.
QuAC Back with Us!
The Queer Activist College (QuAC) is the home for LGBTQ+ youth movement-building and mobilization. It offers events, trainings, and workshops focused on activism and advocacy. Hosted by BAGLY, QuAC brings together LGBTQ+ youth and young adults across Massachusetts who are new to advocacy and seeking community, a deeper understanding of political action, and skills for community organizing.
Through QuAC, youth will:
Connect with activists, organizers, and movement leaders dedicated to grassroots, state, and national advocacy;
Build leadership, advocacy, and community organizing skills;
Create advocacy plans to take action in their communities;
Meet and get to know other LGBTQ+ youth passionate about social justice.
If you come to all six QuAC sessions this summer (June 24 through July 29), you'll get:
A $250 stipend for attending all six courses and presenting an action plan at the final showcase;
Hot food catered at every session;
First consideration in the creation of BAGLY Action Task Force;
Connections to other youth organizing and advocacy groups.

QuAC is dedicated to activism that is:
Accessible – Activism should have as few barriers to entry and engagement as possible.
Community-Based & Youth-Led – Activism should center the needs and interests of the people most impacted by the issues.
Liberatory – Activism should mobilize against oppression and transform the conditions that people live in to build a more just future.
Rooted in History – Activism should be informed by the past and responsive to the present needs.

Most QuAC courses are for LGBTQ+ youth and young adults ages 25 and under from across Massachusetts. We're particularly excited for high-school aged youth and young people who are new to organizing and advocacy to join.
QuAC courses that are intergenerational (open to all ages) and/or open to allies and supporters will have a specific note.
-
QuAC events – “courses” – are grouped by topic. Each month is dedicated to a specific topic. QuAC participants who attend every course on a topic (usually 2 to 3 courses) will earn a topic certificate. Participants who attend 6 or more courses within a calendar year earn a QuAC Advocate Certificate and a $200 stipend.
