This closet is a physical representation of the space where LGBTQ+ people have to hide parts of themselves: their sexuality, gender identity, pronouns, and other self-expressions.

Coming out is a uniquely individual experience, and each one is valid. You’ll read stories from 15 queer folk and see pieces of clothing that represent their journeys.

So, we invite you to experience The Closet. Whether you’re still in it, have never entered it, left it a long time ago, or go in and out of it every single day.

MAX

MEGHAN

“Being in the closet felt like I was almost choking, like I was on the verge of tears and walking on eggshells wherever I went.
